The wadjet or "Eye of Horus", the falcon god, was used by the ancient Egyptians as a protection against evil. This virtual frame is adapted from the wadjet on a box coffin of a Princess Mayet, who lived during Dynasty 11, circa 2035 B.C. The painted wood box is in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
